Every Life Counts
Albert was born in Dallas, Texas in 1958. Albert's childhood was filled with contention, misfortune and abuse. Albert found Christ at the age of fourteen and conquered his childhood dilemmas with unbending faith in Christ. Through what Albert describes as a divine vision, was guided to Tampa five years ago. Ablert tried other churches in the bay area but the Spirit moved him to University Church.
Albert is currently seeking permanent, gainful employment and a home to call his own. Even though Albert is itinerating, he still rises at 4:00 a.m. every morning and walks to the labor hall hoping to be sent out on a job assignment. Albert is a hard worker and has an extensive deiversity of skills and services to offer prospective employers.
Albert dedicates most of his free time to UCM's Operation Jumpstart Program and most of his meager finances to UCM and the Benevolence House. Because of Albert's insights to the homelessness that plagues our community and his faithful commitment to serving others in need, has has become an asset and a blessing for the down-and-out clients that need the services of the agency. Albert may be a big bull of a man but is a lamb of God with a heart of gold.
